The conference is designed to provide hands-on, up-to-the-minute information you can use right away to improve your energy management program, including coverage of cogeneration and distributed energy opportunities, power quality issues, thermal distribution systems, new tools for maintenance and overall facility management, and creative project financing options.     The New Technologies Breakfast on Wednesday morning, sponsored by Leviton Lighting Management Systems, is a special forum for West Coast EMC attendees to preview many of the exciting products to be seen on the show floor, including 5-minute presentations by participating West Coast EMC exhibitors on their newest technologies.

    Thursday, May 15, 2008 / 1:00 pm– 3:30 pm
    Pre-registrationfor this tour has now closed. You can still register onsite at the tour counter in the registration (Hall 4E) at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center.
    In 2004 UWMC began a comprehensive 4 phase HVAC upgrade program. Capacity and reliability have increased while energy consumption has gone down. They now use 5 significant chillers in two chiller plants. Reliability has gone from only one backup to multiple automatic backups. The medical center expects to save about $500,000 per year in utility bills when phase 4 is complete. Join us for a tour of the first 3 phases of work.

    Join us for a tour of the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, which has been very active in its pursuit of saving energy and “going Green”. Within the past 5 years the Convention Center has taken advantage of Seattle City Light’s Energy Smart Services Program by implementing several energy conservation measures.
