In 2004 UWMC began a comprehensive 4 phase HVAC upgrade program. Capacity
and reliability have increased while energy consumption has gone down.
They now use 5 significant chillers in two chiller plants. Reliability
has gone from only one backup to multiple automatic backups. The medical
center expects to save about $500,000 per year in utility bills when
phase 4 is complete. Join us for a tour of the first 3 phases of work.

which has been very active in its pursuit of saving energy and going
Green. Within the past 5 years the Convention Center has taken
advantage of Seattle City Lights Energy Smart Services Program
by implementing several energy conservation measures.
